And we are plotting on how to change the world for the better with YellowSchmello. Damn, this is fun.

I’m in Encino, CA today with my new friend Laurel Gaumer.  We are plotting to change Arthur’s world.

How much fun is that???

Can life get any better than this?

And little worse than a bad one.  I just did a bad one.  A real bad one.

Jill & I decided to do the National Day Spa Assoication show in Las Vegas.  Jill was going to work it, but I was ’sort of’ in the neighborhood, so what the hell.

Brutal.  The show only had 1/2 as many exhibitors as last year.  I don’t know what the total attendence was…but it seemed like 70% of attendees were students hanging out.

Nice people….but the show was a disaster.

And, I rarely feel 61.  I sure do today after standing in a show booth for two days…twiddling my thumbs.

Plotting how to create their WP blog and change the weight loss world.

Oct 26

I got home late Friday from my trip to San Diego, Las Vegas, back to San Diego, Tijuana.  I drove about 3300 miles in 12 days, plus sat in non-stop meetings in San Diego plus ViSalus’ Vitality in Las Vegas.  Wow…my butt hurts.

I gotta tell you…home is a wonderful place.  I’ve done little this weekend - just enjoyed hanging out.

I don’t know how long I’ll be home, though.  It has been suggested my bum eye needs proton therapy.  That would mean leaving home for months for treatment.  That doesn’t sound like much fun.  I need to make a decision whether to get treatment at home (although the preferred treatment is elsewhere) or leave home for a while.

Radiation, in any form, sucks.  I’m headed for more.

Or maybe just a black heart.

I’m leaving in a few minutes to go with my Mom to my Aunt Lois’ funeral.  First, we will go to the funeral home for a private showing.  Then Mom and I will drive to Indianapolis to pick up my Uncle Max.  The three of us will then go to Anderson, IN for the ceremony.

There are going to be more people than I originally thought at the gravesite service.  Best I can figure…around 20.  Most of them are long time friends of my Mom from Plainfield.  All those people met Aunt Lois when she lived here for a couple years between MA and FL.  You got to meet Lois Thomas, you loved her.  The people coming today, besides family, will be paying respect to both my Aunt and my Mom.

I’m even wearing a tie.  For the first time in 8 years.  Why?  Because the LAST time I wore one I was with Aunt Lois after a wedding in Boston.  She was such an elegant lady…I know she’ll smile when she sees me wearing a tie like I know she would love to - but NEVER would - tell me I should.   What she won’t know…and you do…is that I’ve sworn off ties.  This one is for her.  Only her.

And I’m sitting inside a seminar room waiting to make a presentation about both Business and Personal lines if credit.  I love bringing the message to a couple hundred people…but it is 85 and sunny and gorgeous today.  Frankly, I’d rather be out on my bike with Ms. Jill - taking in a lovely summer Denver day.

I’ll make a few dollars today - but all things being equal - LET ME OUTA HERE!

;-)

Yesterday was an interesting day.  I went to the funeral of one of my buddy’s mother.  She was not only Mom - but also his business partner.  He and I have been friends for years.  We often do business, ride bikes, have a cuppa Joe or cold one together .  But I’d never met his Mom/partner.  After hearing some of the stories - I’m sad I didn’t.  She must have been a helluva lady!

I found myself sitting there in the LDS church patting myself on the back for my lifestyle.  I may drop dead tomorrow - but truly believe it isn’t very likely.  Why?

Raw food.  Exercise.  Don’t smoke.  Don’t drink much.  I often pass people 20 or more years younger when I’m tooling around on my bike.  Ego aside…this life is good and I want more of it.  I believe the easiest way to get more is lifestyle.

End of today’s sermon!

Hey Gang.  I’m still in San Jose at Simon Leung’s AdWords Bootcamp.  Friday was good - Saturday was better.  Atta boy, Simon.

I have to tell you…and I’m not even an affiliate and won’t make any money from this…it you get a chance to catch Simon somewhere, do it.  His AdWords knowledge is the best.  Plus - he cares about getting the message across to you (IMHO, unlike some others in his market).  He has a roomful of people here excited about changing their businesses using Google AdWords on Sunday morning who had little or no clue Friday morning before the bootcamp began.

But that is NOT the thing I’m excited about this morning.  I told you a couple weeks ago I’d gone to Ontario to talk with my new friends Drs. David and Irina (www.truescenar.com or www.laserscenarfusion.com).  The can make no claims about the pain relieving nature of the devices they sell.  Well - I can.

I’ve used their low level laser and scenar on a few people with positive results since I got back to the US a couple weeks ago.  That’s great.  I saw it happen and was happy about helping people.  But I hadn’t had a problem myself (pretty good for a 60 year old guy, right?).  Until today.

I woke up with a VERY sore back.  I bitched and moaned…then put Drs. David’s and Irina’s equipment to use.  YAHOO!  Twenty minutes later my severe lower back pain is GONE.  Are you kidding me?  This is too good.

Take it to the bank…I’ll be talking more about these life-changing devices.  Thanks, Drs. David and Irina!

May 23

Geez, Man.  It is Memorial Day weekend.  It is supposed to be hot.  It is Indy 500 time (shades of my youth, you know).  A few hundred thousand people running around a racetrack - too many of them who’ve had too much to drink because it is so danged hot!

So…what does that have to do with anything?  Almost nothing…and a lot.  Ms. Jill and I were driving to our place in Steamboat Springs, CO today.  And what did we drive through?  A virtual white out!  On May 23!  Are you kidding me?

One of things I love the most about Steamboat is the hot springs.  My favorite time at the hot springs is when snow is falling.  Well tonight…the Friday of Memorial Day weekend…I sat in the hot springs at Steamboat for a couple hours with snow everywhere!  Too cool.  I loved it.

What global warming?

Ms. Jill and I are spending the weekend here.  It is my goal to spend 5 nights a month in Steamboat.  Guess I’m a little behind.  The last time we were here was February.  I can’t remember for sure - but I  think tonight will be the 4th night this YEAR.  OOOOOPS.

It will be a weekend of doing a little work, a lot of bike riding, taking a few hundred pictures and just hanging out with Ms. Jill.  Is this heaven yet?

Here’s hoping your Memorial Day will be everything you would love, too.

PS - of sorts…I spent the last couple days before coming to Steamboat this afternoon hanging with my friend and AdWords guy extraordinaire Simon Leung.  We cooked on some ideas I think will be powerful.  Simon and I have to work out some details…but I’m really amped about doing some things with him.

I’m an old guy.  But I LOVE hanging out with really smart young people like Simon and SuperAssistant Amber.
