The road is a tough place for me. Three and a half weeks is REALLY hard. Ms. Jill & I have managed to build a happy, peaceful life together. I miss it terribly when I’m gone.

Another round of radiation has started. I’ll be doing most of it in Colorado Springs…with more frequent than I’d like trips to SoCal for checkups. It sucks…but I know how to do this.

Thanks to all of you who sent messages while I was gone.

The docs really hasseled me about two things: (1) my fitness level, and (2) my fitness level. Guess it is time to get back on my bike.

Not today, though. It’s snowing in Denver.

There is Nothing Better Than a Good Trade Show

And little worse than a bad one. I just did a bad one. A real bad one.

Jill & I decided to do the National Day Spa Assoication show in Las Vegas. Jill was going to work it, but I was ’sort of’ in the neighborhood, so what the hell.

Brutal. The show only had 1/2 as many exhibitors as last year. I don’t know what the total attendence was…but it seemed like 70% of attendees were students hanging out.

Nice people….but the show was a disaster.

And, I rarely feel 61. I sure do today after standing in a show booth for two days…twiddling my thumbs.

Back in SoCal

I spent the last two days driving from Denver to Newport Beach. It has been beautiful in the Colorado Rockies for 2 or 3 weeks. So…the day I’m going to drive to the left coast? A mess.

I decided to take the ’southern route’ instead of fighting the snow in the Rockies (Denver-Albuquerque-Flagstaff, etc.). 250 miles farther. But probably smart.

Saturday it was world-class windy. I’ll bet I climbed out of my car a dozen times to resecure my bike on the roof. One time, in Northern New Mexico, I could hardly open the car door! Damn.

It took about 20 hours…but I’m here in Newport Beach. Got a great deal on the Hyatt Regency on Hotwire…but parking takes some of that good deal away. $19/day for self parking! About a block and a half from my room!

Amazing.

I’m here for radiation workups tomorrow. It won’t be fun. Wish me luck!

I fell off the blogging wagon…big time. No excuses here…I just did.

I’m going to get serious about it again. I’m going to help a new friend, Marty Crowe, get into it. Ms. Jill & I are going to a blogging conference this weekend. I fell off - time to climb back on and make you guys think and, once in a while, smile.

I’ll be back…before the end of the week. Time for a new start in the blogesphere.

I have to tell you today, I’m REALLY excited. For almost a year my friend Amber Ludwig and I have been working on a home remodelling video directory site named www.RemodelVideos.com. In September I met a very nice guy named Bruce Lamb - who owns tons of video content about various remodelling skills.

Amber and I did a deal with Bruce. On Saturday, www.RemodelVideos.com went live. Have a problem with a tiling project? How about faux painting? Flooring a challenge for you?

Back to Real Life

Jill and I had a wonderful weekend in Steamboat Springs for Thanksgiving…except getting home!

The usual 2 1/2 hour drive was over 6 hours of white knuckle time! It took about 2 hours to get from entering I-70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel (normally about 10 minutes).

We were lucky though. We’d bought gas in Steamboat. We had food. We had a new BMW X5 that really didn’t care about a little (OK, a lot) snow and ice.

‘Tis back to work - and normal - today.

Now the REAL procrastination begins…how many times will YOU hear ‘we’ll make a decision after the Holidays’ this year?
